Compilers’ manual for asylum statistics – 2026 edition
This manual provides methodological and technical guidance for Eurostat data collection on international protection, based on the Article 4.1-4.3 of Regulation (EC) No 862/2007, along with relevant legal instruments from the Pact on Migration and Asylum as well as the statistics collected from the national authorities on a voluntary basis. The aim of this manual is to describe the required variables, the definitions used, and the breakdown of individual statistics.
